Oolong (Wu Long) tea Diet

The Oolong tea diet has attracted a lot of attention recently. So, how does it work?


Oolong Tea is a traditional Chinese tea, which lies somewhere between green and black tea. It has more caffeine than green tea, but less than black tea.

You prepare the tea by placing the tea leaves in the sun, until they start to wilt. Then they are stored, during which time oxidation taxes place. The Oolong Tea leaves need to be rubbed slightly and shaken. By doing this the juice mixes with the air.


So, how can Oolong tea help you to lose weight? According to scientists at the Department of Applied Nutrition at the University of Tokushima Oolong tea increases the rate that fat is burned in the body. The study was published in the Journal of Medical Investigation, scientists from Japan's University of Tokushima School of Medicine found that people who regularly drunk this tea burned twice as many calories as those who didnít.
