Bread for Life Diet Bread for Life Diet - what´s that and does it work? The Bread for Life Diet speaks for itself, a diet where you eat bread.
During the Bread for Life Diet women have to eat 8 – 12 slices of bread and men 10 – 15 per day!
You have to eat in 3 hourly intervals:
The bread has to be a maximum of 50kcal per slice, spread with a little low fat margarine and topped with low fat cheese, or smoked salmon, cottage cheese etc.
Furthermore, a lot of steamed veg are included in each meal, fruit is mostly avoided, an egg can be eaten a maximum of four times a week, fish or meat is allowed twice a week and in this case you have to eat 2 slices of bread less a day.
1 pot of yogurt and a cup of tea will skimmed milk per day are allowed. Also, to avoid vitamin and mineral deficiency, 2/3 of a dessert spoon of vegetable oil has to be consumed daily.
Once you lost half of the weight you want to lose, you enter phase two, in which you can eat everything in certain amounts.
